The instrument was purchased from Med Associates. The device can be used for rodent mother to pup vocalizations, pup vocalizations, distress vocalizations, mating vocalizations etc. The software includes both spectrogram (KHz X Time X dB) and sonogram (KHz X Time) graphing utilities.Text data file includes the time of vocalization onset, duration of vocalization, and number of vocalizations occurring within each user-defined band.
