New rules for imaging platform in neuroscience institute (trial version)
In order to standardize the operation of confocal microscope in imaging platform of our institute, we have revised the rules for facility booking, to be effective from 16th Sep., 2013. The new rules are as following:
1. The microscope can be booked 1 week in advance, and are only available for three occasions:
a. The normal opening time is 9:00-22:00 everyday. Users can book the microscopes 1 week in advance. The opening hour for booking system is from 12:00 Friday to 12:00 Sunday. 4 hrs/time in maximum for each user and 10 hrs/week in maximum for each lab (PI account).
b. Spared time from booking system. If there are still available times left from the advanced booking system after 12:00 on every Sunday, the microscope is open for booking, unrestricted to 10 hrs/week policy, but still follows the 4 hrs/time rule for each user.
c. Free opening time before 9:00 or after 22:00 everyday. Users can book the microscope as they need without time limiting.
2. Every user should use the microscopes following the booking schedules. We charge for microscope usage based on the booking hours. Please call for cancellation one day in advance. We will inform the user as well as the PI if the user fails to show up in 30 mins after the booking hour. For those who break the rules for three times, we will suspend his/her authorization for microscope accession for one month.
3. Please fill up the log book, clean the lens and clear up your own belongings every time after usage. The staffs will clean Room B508 once per week.
4. Charging scheme (count in hours):
FV1000 confocal microscope: ¥50/hr for users in school of medicine, ¥200/hr for users in Zhejiang University, ¥400/hr for outsiders.
